“I ask you to join me on this endeavor. Our vision is for the Peoples of all continents, regardless of their beliefs in the Creator, to come together as one at their Sacred Sites to pray and meditate and commune with one another, thus promoting an energy shift to heal our Mother Earth and achieve a universal consciousness toward attaining Peace.”

Chief Arvol  Looking Horse,                                                       19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe

” The time has come to abandon all intolerance. We must recognize that religious truth evolves and changes. Truth is not absolute or set in stone. Even atheists acknowledge the divine. Through acts of love and charity the atheist acknowledges God as well, and redeems his own soul, becoming an active participant in the redemption of humanity.”

Pope Francis

This year the Sun’s entry into Sagittarius marks a new beginning in our global approach to religion, wisdom, philosophy, cross cultural exchange and racial tolerance. The Sun entered Sagittarius on the day of the New Moon also in that sign at the 0 degrees of the sign.

This signals a new beginning for all things Sagittarius as well as a return to basics and to the origins of religion, philosophy, wisdom, healing and inter cultural, interracial relationships.

Sagittarius, the sign of the centaur archer is the philosopher of the zodiac. It is the sign that seeks to understand the meaning of life. It is also a sign most interested in other cultures, diversity, travel, religion and understanding. The centaurs in mythology were teachers, warriors healers and astrologers. They tutored the heroes in ethics, athleticism and all higher learning.

It is of interest that Sagittarius, the sign of wisdom, is the only hybrid creature of the zodiac, though Capricorn is at times depicted as a sea goat. This sign reminds us to honor both our human and animal nature. The centaur is half horse. Those of us gathered in Central Park this spring were reminded by Chief Arvol Looking Horse, the Chief and 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Holder of the Lakota Sioux Nation, that the horse has been with us for a very long time and has much to teach us about hardiness, survival, power, friendship and connection to both the earth and the Divine.

Chief Arvol of the Lakota Sioux, the people of the Horse, reminds us, when we look into the eyes of our sweet cousins, the horses it is the great spirit looking back at us. This year in the Chinese calendar it is the year of the Horse. We must journey far and wide for the wise approaches from all nations and races that can heal the suicidal trajectory we are on as a species.

Chief Arvol is part of the growing chorus of wise voices of sanity and inclusion. He has been reaching out across all national religious and racial boundaries calling all to peace, calling all to work for solutions to heal our sacred planet. He told of a time when the sacred hoop, broken by the white man could be healed. He has said we are now in that time, and we must all awaken in our hearts and souls in order to heal the racial and national divides and the terrible destruction of our planet.

One of the meaningful occurrences that I observed at the New Moon was the release on the internet of the film Origins https://www.facebook.com/originwellfans

It is a documentary on the health crisis in humanity and the environment. It was of interest that the film begins by taking us back to Africa, the cradle of all life on the planet. This like the zero degree New Moon chart echoes the need to go back to the beginning and search for wisdom and healing.

The filmmakers explore the close bond that Africans and Native Americans had to the land and animals, and their consequent health and well-being. It then follows the increasing alienation from the land in the Industrial West winding up with the catastrophic industrial poisoning of nature and our food supply.

I was struck by the return to Africa, in the film. The filmmakers learn to walk side by side in careful harmony with lions and other potentially dangerous wildlife. It is interesting that in order to heal our environment and our own increasingly sick bodies we must return to the ways of connection to the earth of the First Nations and Mother Africa.

Africa is the cradle of life on the planet. We all of us have African DNA. Africa is also the site of some of the worst crimes of exploitation of both the land and the people committed by Europe and America.

It is timely that on the heels of this New Moon in Sagittarius, the verdict to not indict in the case in Ferguson Missouri of white police officer Darren Wilson shooting Michael Brown, an unarmed African American youth has sparked national protest and debate on race. Racism has been one of the great sins of America’s inception along with the attempted genocide of the Native American Nations. Again the New Moon chart instructs us to go back to the beginning in order to heal.

In another extraordinary Sagittarian development, Pope Francis has weighed in on the subject of race in no uncertain terms, speaking out against racism and intolerance:

“Those who would dare to turn immigrants away, be they legal or undocumented, turn their backs on Christ himself! A racist is not a true Christian. A racist casts aside his humanity to become a beast, a demon! He is the embodiment and personification of evil, a Satan!”

Pope Francis went on to preach a revolutionary tolerance that echoes the original teachings of Christ in their call for universal brotherhood and tolerance:

“ All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for pro life and pro choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

The New Moon here in the United States took place in the house of oneness and spirituality. Our instructions are clear: Like Chief Arvol and The Pope, begin to practice true tolerance of all races, all religions, all nations. We are truly One Rainbow Nation. Be curious about other cultures and religions. Stretch out of your comfort zone this month and embark on a journey of cultural exploration. Attend Native American and First Nation Events. Read up on First Nations on the Internet.

In this lead up to the winter holidays cerebrate with a religion you have never been exposed to. Attend the church, mosque, synagogue, medicine circle, or solstice celebration of another faith.

The New Moon chart was conjunct Saturn and Mercury in Scorpio also in the spiritual sector reminding us that our holy work is to transmute our personal and collective poison. Culturally as Pope Francis has stated, racism is the most destructive cultural venom we suffer from. Let us offer it up in prayer this month. Let us resolve to observe our conditioned thinking regarding those we consider “other” and remind ourselves instead We Are One.

There is every reason to be hopeful  that we can learn to embrace our brothers and sisters world wide. In the chart of this New Moon all the planets conjunct the New Moon are in the oceanic 12th house of spirituality indicating that we are submerged in spiritual depths of transformation. But one planet is in the first house, the house of birth and emerging. Venus, the Planet of Love in Sagittarius, the sign of the Horse gallops out of the depths ready to take us on a journey of Love across all boundaries of Nation Race or Creed. May this sweet Pony guide us down Chief Arvol’s path of Love. Love is the journey and the destination this month. Whoever you are, may we walk this path together.

Blessings to All Races, Blessings to All Nations, Blessings to the Gay LGBT Community, Blessings to the Straight Community, Blessings To Our Fellow Creatures with whom we share the earth, Blessings to our Sacred Mother Earth.

We Are One. May we come to truly know it.

THE PLANETARY REPORT:

The Sun and New Moon entered Sagittarius on November 2nd at 0 degrees Sagittarius, signaling a new beginning to global cross cultural and religious relationships. We are going back to the beginning to start a new cycle in our race, religious and national relationships. This month study wisdom paths and different approaches toward religion and culture.

On December 4th Mars, will enter humanitarian activist Aquarius to help us stand for human and planetary rights.

Jupiter continues its retrograde journey through Leo all month encouraging us to reflect and reconnect with creative and theatrical projects. We are also asked to seriously reflect upon the lack of wisdom of our current path and the terrible impact it is and will continue to have on our children and the animal kingdom.

Saturn is nearing the end of its journey through Scorpio reminding us that the stakes have never been higher or more deadly with regard to our shared resources. Our food air and water are increasingly compromised by  insane corporate malfeasance. On December 23rd Saturn takes its first steps into Sagittarius. The need for judicial and judicious wisdom becomes serious. We must leave the alchemical underworld, hopefully transformed and begin to walk the path of wise connections with other nations and our planet.

Uranus remains in Aries keeping the activist pressure on all decaying systems based on organized selfishness and unfettered greed. Uranus continues to square Pluto in Capricorn chipping away at the old unsustainable order.

Soulful transcendental Neptune continues to broadcast transcendental unity, dissolving our anger, washing away resentments, gently pouring a blessed wave of compassion and forgiveness that washes away the past……Till we are brimming with love and tenderness.
