Today at 2:21 PM EDT the New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse in Aries occurs, initiating a powerful new cycle for healing on many levels. Aries, the sign of the warrior, ruled by Mars, the commanding intelligence of the zodiac, is a sign, known for initiative, and forward movement. This eclipse, however, is fused to Chiron, the planet of the wounded healer, and Mercury Retrograde in Aries, indicating that this eclipse is calling us inward and backward to reflect and review all that requires healing or recovery in our lives. Mars the ruling planet of Aries, would normally be lord of this eclipse, but any planet traveling within 3° of an eclipse becomes the new ruler, and the Chiron though considered a minor planet has profound influence on this eclipse.
