THE DAILY PLANET ~ MONDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH:  A Blessed New Moon in Virgo! And A Happy Labor Day to All! Tonight at 8:51 PM EDT, the Moon begins her new growing cycle through pristine Virgo, the sign of cleanliness, healing, service and attention to detail. It’s a beautiful New Moon o put the focus on details and practices that support our mental, physical and environmental health and well being.

In the New Moon chart cast for Washington DC, the national chart, the Sun and New Moon are traveling in a loose conjunction with Mars the warrior planet of action and all three are found in the Virgo sector of the chart associated with daily work, health, organization, skill, and attention to detail. 

Mercury, the ruler of Virgo is also in this sector, but in Libra the sign of peace, balance, diplomacy, inspiring us to cultivate mental peace and verbal restraint as we attend to the details that support daily life, all forms of health and success.

Mercury is heading into the shadow of the upcoming Mercury retrograde, which will occur during this lunation.
