THE DAILY PLANET – SATURDAY JULY 4TH: Happy Fourth of July and Happy 250th Birthday to the United States of America! The Moon glides into spiritual Pisces today, as we celebrate the spiritual founding of the nation, and the dream that our founders realized against all odds.
It’s a beautiful day to remember with immense gratitude, the founders and the signers of the Declaration of Independence, perhaps the greatest political document ever written, which calls upon The Creator as the Source of Human Rights, and the final arbiter of all matters pertaining to justice within the new nation.
It is breathtaking to consider the fortitude, daring and moral courage of the founders of our beloved country. They had everything to lose, but were willing to risk their lives and liberty for what they believed in. When one considers the immense power of the British monarchy, and the relative weakness of the founding fathers and the patriots who fought the Revolutionary War, truly the Hand of Providence must have put some weight on the scales in favor of our fledgling nation. The final line of the declaration of independence (which would lead to the constitution) shows us the founders staggering commitment to founding a nation based on Heavenly Principles.
They concluded with this:
“ And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our Lives, our Fortunes and our Sacred Honor.”
These were not hollow words, many of these men lost their lives, their families and their fortunes. We owe them every blessing we enjoy in the United States today and everyday. Waves of Gratitude to them as we celebrate and seek to embody the principles set forth in their breathtaking Declaration.
